Robin is a new graduate from the University of New Mexico as a Certified Nurse Midwife, where the school and curriculum is centered on improving the health of the underserved.  She has been involved in birth work for many years with her small home birth practice as a licensed Midwife/Certified Professional Midwife.  She initially started in birth work to help mothers and their families get off to a good start.  She continues to strive to improve health literacy and shared decision making in her patient care as she feels this is the best way for improved long-term health outcomes.

 

In her spare time, Robin says she tries to keep up with her husband, 7 kids and 2 grandbabies.  She is still a fan of the Diamondbacks.  Her push back to COVID was putting dread locks in her short hair this past year.  She also likes reading: historical fiction, sport biographies and hiking.
