Michelle (who prefers to be called “Shep”) was born in Alabama and raised in Florida. Michelle attended Florida State University to earn both her bachelor’s degree in Exercise and Physiology, and her Masters of Physician Assistant Studies (Go Noles!).

Michelle says she gained an appreciation for women’s health during her women’s health rotation because she loved learning the power of the female body and the empowerment that can be shared between women.

Prior to PA school, Michelle worked in Dermatology for 3 years. She enjoys learning about how as a healthcare provider she can make a positive impact in the community.

 

Michelle loves cooking, spending time with family and friends, watching sports, reading, and traveling. She is active in her church and loves meeting new people.

Michelle says she is always open to new adventures, and “strongly dislikes” condensation on her cups because other things subsequently become wet because of this (thankfully this won’t be as big an issue for her in Arizona).
